Description

As a non-profit organization that is responsive to both industry and community needs, Saskatoon Trades and Skills Centre (STSC) delivers free short-term trades and skills training, leading to entry-level jobs where workers are in high demand.

ROLE:
The Workplace Skills Facilitator is responsible for facilitating learning opportunities for participants in the area of fundamental life/work skills in alignment with the organizations strategic plan to ensure successful delivery and positive outcomes for all stakeholders in our community.

DUTIES:
- Facilitate STSC essential skills/skills for success sessions
- Assist with interviewing of prospective course participants
- Plan, track, and report on outputs and outcomes
- Maintain database, electronic records and other administrative duties
- Maintain inventory control systems
- Contribute to the development of appropriate training methods or
  activities
- Design, prepare and customize training aids and materials
- Promote STSC training programs to appropriate partners
- Other duties as assigned by the Program Manager and/or Executive
  Director

REQUIREMENTS:
- Strong understanding of classroom instruction / group facilitation
  methods and the ability to deliver material in an engaging manner
- Experience in teaching adult learners
- Experience in providing employment support services to a diverse
  client group including vulnerable/marginalized individuals
- Ability to find innovative ways to resolve problems
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work individually and collaboratively
- Post  Secondary Education in a related field an asset
- Clean vulnerable sector criminal record check
