The Project Management Specialist, Site Services role is to assist with the coordination of planning and construction management for projects within the Site Services Department. You will be involved with managing major earth-moving and facility improvement projects, from initial concept to completion.
Responsibilities:
-Provide planning and construction management support for projects, modifications or capital requirements/replacements
-Develop and maintain department KPIs
-Responsible for the review of all civil-related engineering reports and studies
-Provide mentorship and guidance to Projects Technicians
-Work collectively with site groups to coordinate personnel and equipment requirements
-Review departmental quality procedures and work instructions, develop or modify existing whenever necessary
-Develop presentation material and facilitate safe work plans
-Prepare and coordinate design/change controls
-Fully proficient in data management and engineering design programs (AutoCAD C3D, Trimble Software)
-Process survey data and produce AutoCAD drawings
-Perform engineering calculations
Skills and Qualifications:
-University degree or college diploma in Mine/Civil/Mechanical Engineering or equivalent combination of experience and training
-10+ years experience in heavy civil projects with significant surveying experience and/or knowledge
-Project Management Professional certification is preferred
-Proficient with Microsoft Excel and Word
-Experience with contract development and administration is required
-Knowledge of accounting fundamentals and cost estimation is required
-Knowledge and/or experience with the following are considered an advantage:
o GPS surveying equipment and AutoCAD Civil3D
o Mechanical HVAC heating and operating control systems
o SAP
o Surpac Software
Work Location & Schedule:
-McClean Lake site
-14 days in and 14 days out rotating schedule
