ABOUT QBQW CFS INC.: We are a growing Indigenous community-based organization, serving five southern and northern Indigenous communities of children, youth, families & Elders. Our Vision is to build communities of strong, healthy, successful Indigenous people and families connected to each other and to their roots by fostering their health & well-being through culturally relevant services, support, and advocacy.

POSITION SUMMARY: The Foster Care Resource Worker is responsible for the recruitment, assessment and training of foster care providers for QBOW Child and Family Services Inc. The Foster Care Resource Worker will be responsible for coordinating the provision of comprehensive specialized foster home services for children in temporary or permanent care and children at risk. This includes recruiting and actively promoting the foster care program in the community, as well as investigating, assessing and counseling new foster parent applicants to determine suitability. The Foster Care Resource Worker will investigate quality of care issues in foster homes and reassessments of active foster homes ensuring to follow established protocols as part of the planning process to ensure quality foster care service delivery.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Diploma in Indigenous Social Work/Social Work
3 Years experience working with Indigenous Families in crisis with demonstrated facilitation experience
Valid Class 5 Drivers License
Submission of current CPIC & Vulnerable Sector Check
