Description

We are looking for a self-starting innovative individual
who encourages differing opinions and perspectives
and seeks continual improvement. You follow through

collaborative relationships with internal and external
stakeholders.

As a Hydrologist, you will, in both field and office
settings and within an assigned district, undertake
duties associated with the WSAs Hydrometric Program
specific to the collection, processing, and
documentation of hydrological and other related
environmental data.

Duties and responsibilities will primarily be:
Conduct field operations required for the collection
of hydrological data on rivers and lakes within an
assigned district ensuring data is accurate and
complete and in accordance with established
engineering procedures and practices.

Process and analyze collected hydrological data
using both basic and complex methods of technical
data reduction; and prepare applicable technical
reports, drawings, charts and graphs as required.

Conduct specialized field surveys and studies to
assist with various hydrologic investigations and
studies; assist in performing structures operations
and inspections for Regional Operations as
required; and undertake provincial water resource
structure operations as assigned.

Assist in training other staff in proper collection and
computation methods and techniques and in the
utilization and maintenance of related equipment
and vehicles.

You will have a Diploma in Water Resources
Engineering Technology or a similar technical discipline
and will have or will immediately obtain and maintain
registration with Technology Professionals
Saskatchewan (TPS).
