Description

Lake Country Co-op invites applications for the position of Full Time Temporary Meat Cutter (April 15- September 30, 2024) at our Food Store location in La Ronge, Sk.

Reporting to the Meat Team Leader, responsibilities for this position include the following:
Demonstrate the behaviors and actions to support Lake Country Co-operatives vision, mission, values, and safety principles to make a difference in members lives, with a strong customer focused approach
Engage and interact with guests to create a positive shopping experience- in person, on the telephone
Properly prepare products to Co-op standards, package and label finished products, maintain production records
Ensure to keep a clean and maintained department
Maintain and display all types of meat products according to department standards
Perform other duties as assigned

Who you are:
You are looking for a career in Retail Store Operations and Customer Service:
You have your grade 12 or equivalent experience; Approved Meat Cutting course and or previous retail meat cutting experience especially in the CRS would be considered an asset
You are honest and trustworthy, are results orientated, and strive to be the best in the work that you do
You are well organized, capable of attaining a high level of production, with a minimum amount of supervision
You are familiar with Food Safe procedures and practices
Ability to lift and load products; extensive physical labour is required
You believe in building relationships and collaborating to deliver solutions that matter most, and you recognize the value that different perspectives bring to meet shared objectives.
You have the ability to work in a fast paced, guest facing environment
You have a flexible work schedule including weekends, evenings and holidays
