Accounting/Payroll Specialist

The Finance Department has an opportunity as a Accounting/Payroll Specialist in the Head Office location.


Key Responsibilities:

-Reconcile & balance various general ledger payroll accounts
-Journal Entries for benefit plans as required
-Process bi-weekly payroll using a computerized system including reports for various departments
-Process new hires and terminations as required including notification of third parties as required
-Knowledge of ADP workforce would be an asset
-Process quarterly bonus
-Process monthly commissions
-Process T4s and other government reports as required


Skills & Qualifications:

-Self starter.
-Excellent organizational skills.
-Excellent keyboarding skills, proficient in EXCEL spreadsheet applications.
-Knowledge of Payroll rules and labour standards for Saskatchewan
-Knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
-Ability to understand and execute oral and written instructions.
-Ability to key required transactions accurately, correctly and with required speed.
-Ability to communicate clearly with employees from other departments and offices.
-Ability to establish and maintain co-operative and harmonious working relations with other employees, as necessitated by work assignments.
-Ability to multi-task.


Office hours are Monday to Friday, 7.25 hours per day.
