The Communications Branch in the Ministry of Justice and Attorney General works in a fast-paced and engaging environment. The Branch is primarily responsible for raising awareness about Ministry initiatives, programs and services. The Branch oversees and executes a wide variety of internal and external communications, and supports all areas of the Ministry in achieving their communications goals.
The Communications Branch is seeking a dedicated and motivated Senior Media Relations Consultant with experience in media relations, public communication, and crisis management.
Typically, the knowledge and competencies required for this position would be acquired through:
- the completion of an undergraduate degree in Journalism, Communications, Media Studies, Marketing or a related field of study, combined with several years of experience in the field of media relations.
- Working knowledge of the justice system, the correctional system and the courts will be considered an asset.
- A valid Saskatchewan driver's licence is required as occasional travel within the province will be required.
