SOUTHLAND is currently offering a $1,000 hiring bonus for new Mechanics! This will be paid out following 6 months of employment.

Duties

* Ongoing maintenance/repair of buses
* Respond to breakdowns
* Work with shop management to mai ntain schedules and priorities
* Perform semi-annual Government Inspections
* Complete all documentation associated with mechanical repairs of equipment
* Supervision of apprentice mechanics
* Suggest areas for additional training and assist with training of apprentice mechanics

Requirements

* Journeyman Ticket - Heavy Duty or Automotive; Apprentices also considered
* 2 - 5 years of related experience desired
* Valid driver's license (Class 2 or 3 ideal)
* Safety Inspection Certification through SGI desired
* Experience working with Prevost coaches considered an asset
* Analytical and troubleshooting skills
* Computer proficiency
* Own hand tools
