Description

The Public Service Commission is the central human resource agency for the Government of Saskatchewan.

The Strategic Systems and Innovation Branch at the Human Resource Service Centre (HRSC) has an exciting opportunity for a Junior Configuration Analyst to provide support to the Government of Saskatchewans Human Resource (HR) Management systems. The successful candidate will be responsible for logging and triaging of technical issues along with ensuring the application is secure and performing at optimal levels. The position will also assist in the support of the change and release coordination activities for the HR Management System.

This competition will be used to fill one term position to January 25, 2025.

Our candidate of choice will have:

Knowledge of:

- programming concepts and languages such as SQLRelational database concepts, IT system and application design and setup, as well as testing concepts, theories, and principles;
- Human Resources, payroll or benefits policies and procedures;
- exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills to evaluate and resolve complex processing issues within the system;
- ability to identify and evaluate alternatives; recommend solutions; design, configure, test and maintain systems;
- strong written and verbal communication skills to develop a variety of documents and explain or present both technical and non-technical information to others.

Typically, knowledge for this position would be attained through a post-secondary education with a minimum of 2 years in Computer Science or Information Technology OR a Business Analysis Certificate combined with at least 3 years experience in HR Management systems or IT application support. A combination of education and experience may be considered.
