Job Description: The Social Worker uses professional skills to asisst and provide interventions aimed at assisting clients and families cope with health related issues. Under the direction of the Director Cypress Regional Hospital & Swift Current Long Term Care the incumbent will support Program Managers to  ensuring the goals and needs of the client are met in keeping with the mission, vision and values of the Cypress Health Region.
Required Qualifications

Bachelor Degree in Social Work
Registered or eligible for registration with the Saskatchewan Association of Social Workers (SASW)
Experience
Clinical Experience in an Acute Care setting
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Broad knowledge of community resources and demonstrated ability to access internal and external services to meet patient needs.
Current knowledge of human growth and development, human behaviour, psychopathology, the family life cycle and systems theory
Demonstrated ability to work both independently and collaboratively as a member of a multidisciplinary team
Demonstrated knowledge of medical terminology and medical social work practices (e.g. assessment/charting).
Extensive knowledge of family systems.
Interviewing skills and counselling skills.
Maintain high level of confidentiality
Must be able to work independently and collaboratively within an interdisciplinary team, be highly motivated, organized, have excellent time management skills and ability to prioritize workload

The Saskatchewan Health Authority (SHA) requires a criminal record check (CRC) from every potential SHA team member. The CRC must be dated within the past six (6) months and be satisfactory to the SHA. A
