Description

Canadian Mental Health Assoc. (Sask.Div.)invites applications for a Permanent full-time (30 hrs/week)Vocational/Recreational Development Worker in our Weyburn Branch.

Under the general supervision of the Program Director, the Worker is responsible for:

Providing structured client centered services. Responsible for design, implementation, and evaluation of rehabilitative, vocational, recreational and recovery-oriented services and programs for the specialized needs of our clientele and community.

Working cooperatively with appropriate persons and agencies to further advance and coordinate participation in casual and/or contractual employment in a work crew setting.

Responsible for monthly statistics, billing, and reporting; requiring the knowledge of accounting software, and Microsoft office (word, power-point, excel).

Providing supervision and support to vocational work crew to assist with community and contractual jobs that include; landfills, lawn care, snow removal, small moves, and cleaning services.

A flexible approach to an ever changing environment is needed as duties and responsibilities may be adjusted or changed to fit the needs of our programs and services.  Some heavy lifting required and some evening & weekend work may be required.

Completion of some post-secondary training in the social sciences and significant experience in a human services field, preferably the mental health field, or an equivalent combination of experience and training is required. A good knowledge of community resources, effective organizational, public relations and communication skills are essential. The successful candidate must have a valid drivers license and will be required to provide a clean Criminal Record Check
