Description

General Description
Under the direction of the Director of Health shall provide Mentorship, training and guidance to the Mental Health and Addiction team.  Provide Mental Health Services to the members which include: direct counselling services to individuals, couples, families and groups, prevention and education services and or workshops to the community and school about mental health and wellness issues and provide regular reports on activities to the Director of Health.

Duties and Responsibilities may include:
    Provide Guidance, training and mentorship to the Mental Health and Addiction team in the following areas.
    Evaluate clients (existing, new or prospective) based on their needs, limitations and desires
    Conducting initial consultations to gather client information
    Assessing clients emotional and mental health and developing treatment plans to meet them
    Build rapport with clients and their families
    Meet with clients regularly to provide counselling, treatment and adjust treatment plans as necessary
    Conduct ongoing assessments of client progress
    Address client concerns and goals while maintaining constant communication with the client as well as the case manager
    Involve and advise family member when appropriate
    Refer clients to outside specialist or agencies when necessary
    Maintain thorough records of clients meetings and progress as require by Saskatchewan health regulations
    Follow all safety protocols and maintain client confidentiality
    Prepare monthly and annual reports on service activities
    Provide statistical information for purposes of planning and evaluation
    Develop and facilitate presentations to the community, school, health and other community agencies as needed
    Attend program meetings as needed
    Be prepared to work in minimal office setting/environment
    Primary work will involve outreach services
