Executive Assistant
Sturgeon Lake First Nation

Sturgeon Lake First Nation is now accepting applications from qualified individuals for the position of Executive Assistant at the Sturgeon Lake Band office.  Reporting to the Band Manager, the Executive Assistant is responsible for coordinating administrative procedures, public relations activities and research and analysis for the Band Manager and is responsible for administrative support to the Chief and Council.

Main Duties

-    Take minutes of meetings using note-taking skills and procedures for the purpose of transcription.
-    Prepare and record Band Council Resolutions (BCR)
-    Analyze incoming and outgoing memoranda, submissions, and reports and prepare and coordinate the preparation and submission of summary briefs and reports to the Chief and Council.
-    Open and distribute incoming regular and electronic mail and other material and coordinate the flow of information internally and with other departments and organizations
-    Prepare agenda and make arrangements for committee, boards, and other meetings
-    Schedule and confirm appointments and meetings
-    Liaise with departmental and corporate officials and with other organizations and associations on behalf of the Band Manager
-    Prepare travel arrangements
-    Prepare schedules and plan conferences, conventions
-    Order supplies for the main office.
-    Other related duties as assigned
