Carmacks Enterprises Ltd. is a civil contractor, specializing in road and bridge construction and maintenance, in business for over 40 years. We are currently seeking a seasonal General Labourer for Highways Division to work on a project in the Allan area. This position will report to the Highways Division Foreman.
This project consists of grading, side sloping and installation of culverts and removing concrete curbs and sidewalks in Allan.
What is the role?
You are able to work with small hand tools
Assist skilled trades people and perform a wide range of tasks at construction sites
Loading, unloading, identifying, and distributing materials and equipment
Cleaning and preparation of construction sites
Remove rubble and other debris at construction sites
Perform other activities at construction sites, as directed
The successful candidate will possess the following qualifications:
Minimum 1 years of labour experience would be an asset
Experience working with highways construction would be an asset
Excellent verbal communication skills
Minimum class 5 driver's license with a clean driver's abstract
You must be physically fit, able to work long hours outdoors
