Description

W.F. Botkin is currently seeking a permanent full-time Heavy Duty Mechanic for our Regina location. This position is responsible for maintaining and repairing various large equipment including, but not limited to, skid steers, loaders, rock trucks, graders, etc. This role plays a crucial piece in ensuring the health and safety of equipment and the health and safety of the employees.

Responsibilities:
- Maintain and repair various heavy equipment, ensuring safety for both equipment and employees.
- Conduct inspections, adjustments, and repairs on gasoline and diesel-powered units.
- Adhere to safety policies and promptly report any unsafe conditions or incidents.
- Continuously improve operations, diagnose defects, and perform troubleshooting.
- Perform installations, electrical/hydraulic diagnostics, and engine alignments.
- Test and ensure proper equipment performance, conduct on-site maintenance.

Required Experience:
- 1-3 years' experience in equipment maintenance and repair.
- Journeypersons status preferred or minimum 3rd-year apprentice.
- Valid drivers license and clean drivers abstract.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to health and safety.
- Ability to handle a physically demanding, fast-paced environment.
- Self-driven with a desire for ongoing learning and skill development.
- Flexibility for overtime and weekend work.
- Steel-toe safety boots are necessary.
