GENERAL DESCRIPTION
The Home Care Nurse/RN will work under the direct supervision of the Health Service Manager.

SUMMARY OF DUTIES
-They must combine their knowledge of assessment and clinical nursing skills to effectively assess and coordinate client care.
-The goal of the Homecare Nurse is to provide professional services in such a way as to meet the needs of clients effectively while encouraging client independence, family and community support.
-The Homecare Nurse/RN will provide active nursing care to clients as well as develop care plans based on the assessment, and interviews, and work collaboratively with the Home Care Licensed Practical Nurse and Home Care Aide.
-They will be required to maintain a positive working relationship with local health regions, Indigenous Services Canada, and other health organizations.

QUALIFICATIONS
Must be a Registered Nurse.
Must be currently registered, and in good standing with the S.R.N.A.
Must have one or more of the following:
Demonstrated supervisory, leadership, managerial, and computer skills.
Demonstrated ability in public relations and interpersonal skills.
Maintain a valid Saskatchewan drivers license.
Previous experience working in a First Nations community is an asset.
Ability to maintain confidentiality.
Must submit a vulnerable sector/criminal record check.
