Duties:
- Strong negotiation skills with an ability to manage, resolve issues and direct consultants, contractors, vendors, and internal and external stakeholders
- Receives, processes and interprets submittals and RFIs
- Analyze and compile information from job cost reporting system to prepare report package for internal project management and monthly job cost meetings
- Procure, update, and maintain Notices of Project and Completion and executed Change Order documentation in a form sufficient to finalize release of all payments and applicable reimbursements
- Solicit, analyze and route product information (submittals) form vendors to project staff and consultants
- Understand and follow proper safety techniques in accordance with company, community, and departmental policies, procedures, and standards
- Oversee the general contractor to ensure the scope of the construction contract is being fulfilled Develop general conditions on projects where Brandt is the general contractor
- Travel to construction sites across Canada, as required, to meet and coordinate with authorities having jurisdiction as required for permits, line up trades and review construction progress
Required Skills:
- Valid Saskatchewan drivers license
- Comprehensive knowledge of building systems included in the architectural, structural, mechanical, electrical and civil construction scopes
- Understand the construction process and contract administration of a major construction project
- Work independently and part of a team
- Strong written and verbal communications skills
- Can identify key issues, and creatively and strategically overcome challenges or obstacles
- Must be able to physically access all exterior and interior parts of the facilities during and after construction
- Awareness of safety procedures on construction sites and use of personal protective equipment
- Some evening or weekend work may be required
