Summer Student JobThe Town of Stoughton is offering an exciting summer employment opportunity. The Instructor position is a key component of the leisure services as they provide program information to the public, administer emergency procedures, enforce aquatic safety policies and facility operating policies as well as provide instruction.
Job Responsibilities:
- Complete daily tasks including documenting water chemistry levels, following opening and closing procedures, routine cleaning duties and equipment checks, and collecting admissions.
- Supervise swimmers and enforce pool rules
- Provide a safe and clean environment for facility users
- Maintain a positive attitude with public and staff to ensure a harmonious working relationship
- Maintain and upgrade certifications as needed
Basic Requirements:
Lifesaving/SWIM Instructor - Instructor
National Lifeguard Award - Senior Guard
Bronze Cross/Medallion - Junior Guard
Aquatic Emergency Care and/or Standard First Aid with CPR C and AED
required for all positions
Ability to work effectively with staff, management and the public
**Pool Operators course is considered an asset**
