Description

What you will do:



Provide field based geological and geophysical support to an operating underground potash mine
Support underground exploration projects with project coordination and field technical support
Provide oversight, coordination and leadership of 3rd party geotechnical studies
Process, analyze, and produce reports on geological and geophysical data
Continuously improve geological and geophysical methods and technology
Manage projects and technical initiatives
Perform various other field and office duties to support the continued safe and productive operation of the mine


What you will bring:



A Bachelors Degree in Geology or Geophysics (or equivalent) from an accredited post-secondary institution
Graduate qualifications are considered an asset
Minimum 4 years of experience in field of qualifications
Must be registered with APEGS or equivalent provincial regulatory authority
Professional licensure is considered an asset
Varying levels of Geologists will be considered (Geologist-in-Training, Geologist, Senior Geologist)
Varying levels of Geophysicists will be considered (Geophysicist-in-Training, Geophysicist, Senior Geophysicist)
Project Management Professional certification is considered an asset
Experience in exploration techniques such as diamond drilling and seismic surveys
Potash mining experience is considered an asset
Demonstrated proficiency in geological database and/or GIS software
Proven ability to produce high quality deliverables reliably in a fast-paced environment
Demonstrated positive safety behavior and safety leadership
Excellent interpersonal, teamwork, and communication skills are essential
Ability to develop technical and analytic skills to excel in a complex operating environment
Willingness to learn and gain adequate knowledge and experience through training and exposure to underground processes
