The Saskatchewan Research Councils (SRC) Rare Earth Element Division has an opportunity for an Electrical Engineer-In-Training (new graduate) to support design, procurement, construction, commissioning and operational improvements for SRCs Rare Earth Processing FacilityNorth Americas first fully integrated, commercial, demonstration facility with hydrometallurgy, separation and metal smelting units. Join a growing team that is working to establish a rare earth element (REE) technology hub in Saskatchewan, forming an industry model for future commercial REE initiatives and supply chain development.
Accountabilities
Contribute to the design and development of power distributions systems and automation systems for the REE facility
Work as part of the team to address electrical, instrumentation and controls needs of various projects
Collaborate with the project team, including frequent communication and daily collaboration
Assist senior engineers and designers with checking engineering deliverables, quality reviews and participating in commissioning and construction support activities
Qualifications
Electrical engineering degree with eligibility to register as an engineer-in-training (EIT) through the Association of Professional Engineers of Saskatchewan (APEGS)
Skills
Strong understanding of best practices for quality work and workplace safety
Team player with effective interpersonal, communication, multitasking and problem-solving skills
Ability to self-motivate and take initiative in non-supervised work
Exceptional organizational skills
The chosen candidate will be required to provide an original Criminal Record Check that is satisfactory to SRC prior to the commencement of any employment duties. The Criminal Record Check must have been executed within the preceding 30 days of receipt.
