Job Description: The Manager, Maternal Services Jim Pattison Children's Hospital B is a key leader in Saskatchewan health care, partnering with system leaders to achieve our province's healthcare goals. Reporting to the Director of Maternal and Children's Intensive Care - Saskatoon, the Manager is responsible for creating operational lines of sight that connect to the goals and objectives of the SHA. The Manager supports strategy through the development and execution of operational and business plans, including cascading, monitoring, reporting, and course correction of same. The Manager demonstrates strong leadership to enable an innovative and positive working climate and a client-centric culture. The Manager must work cross functionally within the portfolio and across the organization to support operations. The Manager will develop partnerships and work closely with system and community partners.
Maternal Care Centre (MCC) is a complex and dynamic department serving women and families from central and northern Saskatchewan. It is a high risk obstetrical referral center. The Manager of Maternal (B) at the JPCH works with 2 other managers who have joint responsibility for the operations of the Maternal Care Centre. This unit operates 24/7 and consists of 49 single maternity care rooms (labour, birth, post-partum), 8 assessment beds, 3 obstetrical operating rooms, 4 bed recovery room, 8 prenatal inpatient unit, 5 bed outpatient unit and a maternal fetal unit. This unit supports more than 5700 births per year as well as many outpatient visits. The manager works collaboratively with a large, multidisciplinary team to ensure provision of quality family-centered care and implementation of nationally accepted standards of care.
