Description

The Ministry of Social Services, Community Living Service Delivery (CLSD), Clinical Services team has an exciting opportunity for a part-time term Occupational Therapist, who is passionate about enabling individuals with intellectual disabilities to live their lives to the fullest and participate as full citizens in their communities across Saskatchewan. Headquarters in Moose Jaw (preferred), other locations may be considered. Some travel will be required.

Occupational Therapists (OT) in CLSD are developing as a provincial resource, which makes this an excellent opportunity for an (OT) practitioner to enhance their expertise and support positive influences on the systems that impact an individuals experience of health and well-being. Our Occupational Therapists have the opportunity to participate on task teams, consult, educate and network to build capacity within the CLSD sector to support individuals with high and complex needs.

This position is part of and will collaborate within a Clinical Services team of multidisciplinary professionals, (Occupational Therapists (OT), Physical Therapists (PT), Nurses, Behavioural Consultants, and support staff), and other professionals and stakeholders.

To qualify, an OT professional candidate must be registered or eligible for registration in the Saskatchewan Society of Occupational Therapists and be registered or eligible for membership with the Canadian Association of Occupational Therapists. Experience working with individuals in the areas of intellectual disability, mental health and or Sensory Processing Disorders is considered an asset, but we provide opportunities to build this skill set. A valid driver's license is required.
