Elmwood Residences Inc. is a non-profit organization committed to supporting those living with intellectual disabilities. We believe in providing choices and opportunities to support learning and growth, fostering understanding, respect and advocating for all individuals.

As a recreation coordinator you will be responsible for the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of recreational programming for our residents. Elements of this program will include cultural, spiritual, intellectual, social and physical domains.

Responsibilities:
-Creating recreational programs that will meet required criteria
-Acting as a point of contact for Elmwood relative to recreational programs
-Planning and implementing vacations for residents in line with their Person-Centered Goals
-Maintain equipment and supplies in good repair, make recommendations for purchases and make purchases as assigned
-Liaise with external suppliers and vendors relative to recreational programs
-Coordinate travel providers and volunteers relative to recreational programs

Qualifications:
-Therapeutic Recreation Diploma and/or experience developing and delivering recreational programming focused on Community Inclusion
-Valid Saskatchewan Class 5 Driver's license and a willingness to drive when necessary
-Current Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Search
-Experience in working with and providing personal care for individuals with intellectual disabilities
-Project management experience and ability to coordinate programs
-Excellent oral and written communication skills and interpersonal skills
-Ability to work along or with little supervision
