To assist the Store Manager in managing the human, physical and financial resources of the store and in ensuring that store objectives are achieved by focusing on improving product flow from the backroom to the sales floor.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Role models best practice customer service at South Hill Fine Foods.
Supports Loss Prevention processes related to cash management and Front Store processes to minimize risk.
Follows up with Supervisors to ensure communication cascade for evening/weekend huddles and timely updates as required.
Generates daily low stock report and provides to merchandisers/section captains.
Communicates expected deliveries with receiver to develop an action plan for receiving.
Proactively engages customers with increased focus during peak traffic times.
Assists SM to ensure all product-related processes are implemented effectively.
Highlights new products, reinforces with staff the need to share upcoming events with customers.
Demonstrates product knowledge and familiarity with location of products throughout the store.
Ensures employees comply with all policies and procedures
Assists in achieving projected sales growth targets and effective expense management.
QUALIFICATIONS
Ability to prioritize activities quickly in response to changing initiatives
Must work effectively with all Employees.
4-5 years supervisory experience
4-5 years retail/grocery experience
Efficient time management ability
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Effective organization and planning skills
Computer literacy
Commitment to providing exceptional customer service
WORKING CONDITIONS
Ability to work flexible shifts which may include weekdays and weekends.
