This dynamic leader is the voice of our hotel and manages all marketing & sales efforts to generate revenue and meet property targets.
Responsibilities
Ensures the Hotels Mission, Vison, and Values are incorporated within the Sales and Event Management Operations.
Overall sales and Business Development efforts of the hotel; developing, implementing and evaluating short and long range sales and business development plans
Development and deployment of transient and group yield management strategies
Providing leadership, mentoring and support to associates to ensure the achievement of operational, sales activity, and market segment goals
Attends corporate events, trade shows, community events, and industry meetings; travel as required
Identify and maximizing opportunities to broaden the hotels market share
Evaluate and maintain knowledge of market trends, competition, and customers to develop strategic business plans
Oversees the Sales & Marketing team; conducts appropriate disciplinary actions, as well as all performance reviews
Thorough knowledge of situational sales process including strong relationship building/account management, new business development, proposal to contract presentation, closing skills as well as negotiating skills
Work cooperatively with operational teams, ie. front desk, banquets and culinary, on operations and event execution
Qualifications
Previous Hotel Experience in Sales, Marketing, and Event Management
Post Secondary education in Sales & Marketing or Hotel Management
Minimum of 5 years experience in sales and marketing, this will include 3 years in a senior leadership role
Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
Ability to research and, develop and maintain clients and relationships
Highly motivated and able to work in a fast paced environment
Professional appearance and demeanor
Takes pride and ownership within their career
Proven ability to lead and establish strong teams
