Description

The Community Liaison & Communications Coordinator will establish key relationships and develop innovative marketing-related opportunities and events to advance the Regina Reaching Home program, which assists individuals through its funded partners experiencing homelessness in our community. In addition, the individual in this role will plan, promote and organize activities to engage Indigenous and community leaders, businesses, agencies and other stakeholders.

Familiarizes self and keeps current on issues relating to homelessness in the community, Reaching Home policies and directives, funded projects, and Regina Homelessness Community Advisory Board (RHCAB) proceedings and processes.
Conducts daily scan of local, regional, provincial and national media coverage related to homelessness or housing issues and initiatives. Researches and keeps current on all community events/meetings/conversations relevant to homelessness initiatives and attends/participates.
Keeps current on funding or grant opportunities/availability in support of the Reaching Home program; writes and submits proposals accordingly.  
Maintains well-organized records of important contacts, donors and other information/documentation; maintains a calendar of all activities and events, including community-based events and other communication/networking opportunities.
Identifies key stakeholders, First Nations and other business leaders, and government agencies; researches potential donors/sponsors; develops and maintains meaningful business relationships, partnerships and a network of key contacts to collaborate fund or provide sponsorship in support of the program.
Helps to ensure all people have a place to call home by increasing awareness and advancing opportunities to support meaningful change through innovative marketing strategies using a variety of communications-related channels (e.g., social media sites, websites)
