Experience in finance and financial systems needed:
As Product Owner for the Financial Systems and Processes team, youll be responsible for setting, prioritizing and evaluating the teams work to ensure the financial system users needs are met, and youll manage the backlog of work to prioritize items based on changing requirements.
Using your background in finance and strong communication skills, youll develop relationships and build partnerships with the IT Finance Product team, stakeholders and end users to deliver on finance initiatives.
What youll do:
- Create and maintain a transparent backlog of stories
- Prioritize the backlog for maximum value to FCC
- Define strategic and maintenance work
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify priorities
- Coach the team in improving Agile methodology
What were looking for:
- Organized multi-tasker who can easily shift focus in a fast-paced work environment
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and requests while staying organized and composed
- Strong communicator able to effectively deliver priority messaging to staff
- Proven relationship-builder comfortable interacting and negotiating at all levels
What you'll need:
- A degree in computer science or administration and at least eight years of related experience (or equivalent combination of education and experience);
- Product Owner certification is an asset
- Experience working in an Agile environment
