We are looking for an energetic, motivated optometric assistant to join our long-established, full service vision center, who can handle all tasks in an optometry clinic: from reception, preliminary testing, dispensary, to administration duties. No EVENINGS. No WEEKENDS. Health Benefits, Pension and employment perks included. Duties may include answering phones, billing/insurance submissions, process payments, data entry and other clerical duties. Preparing patients for doctor care by operating optometric equipment and assisting doctors with various tests. Assisting with frame selection of lenses/frames to suit client's aesthetic and performance needs. Performing frame and facial measurements and submitting prescription eyewear requisitions to manufacturing lab. Physical requirements include: sitting and standing for extended periods of time, lifting, bending, twisting and keeping up with a fast-paced work environment. Candidates must have strong computer skills, high proficiency with technology, attentive to detail, accurately multi-task, and have an aptitude for working with the public. Candidates must be professional, organized and motivated. Candidates must have a strong command of English, be a Canadian resident and willing to locate to Tisdale, provide proof of Covid-19 vaccination and complete a criminal record check.
