The Saskatchewan Health Authority seeks a full time Clinical Microbiologist located in Regina, Saskatchewan to support a combination of public health and acute/community clinical microbiology. The Roy Romanow Provincial Laboratory is a state of the art facility located in Regina, Saskatchewan that provides a full range of public health and reference microbiology services including bacteriology, mycology, parasitology, mycobacteriology, virology, and immunoserology. It houses a modern Level 3 laboratory and purpose built molecular diagnostics laboratory. Clinical service includes support for the Regina General Hospital microbiology laboratory, a CAP-accredited, consolidated diagnostic microbiology lab serving both acute care and community patients in Regina and surrounding area.
The successful candidate will hold a Ph.D. degree with relevant specialty training in Clinical Microbiology and certification (or eligibility for certification within 3 years) by the Canadian College of Microbiologists (or equivalent). A faculty appointment with the University of Saskatchewan and/or the University of Regina is encouraged.
Experience:
A minimum of two (2) years postgraduate in a Certified Microbiology program.
