Greater Saskatoon Catholic Schools is inviting applications for the position of First Nations, Metis and Inuit Education Program Leader. The First Nations, Metis and Inuit Education Program Leader is a member of the First Nations, Metis and Inuit Education Learning
Community within Greater Saskatoon Catholic Schools and is responsible for the development of curricular strategies specific to the success of First Nations, Metis and Inuit students. As part of this team, your role includes support for Division-wide First Nations and Metis cultural programming.
Preference will be extended to applicants who possess the following:
- A professional 'A' teaching certificate
- Five years successful teaching experience
- Education about anti-racist and anti-oppressive education
- Ability to assist teachers to implement effective teaching strategies for First Nations, Metis and Inuit students
- Ability to assist teachers with linking the curriculum to First Nations, Metis and Inuit content in planning for instruction and assessment
- Ability to assist teachers with First Nations, Metis and Inuit instructional resources
- Ability to facilitate professional learning for teachers
- Ability to network and develop partnerships among Indigenous organizations
- A demonstrated ability to work within a strong team philosophy as well as independently
