Description

Reporting to the Regional Manager, the Production Labourer is responsible for ensuring that product being produced meets quality standards which meets all Company specifications. Perform the standard quality control checks on production you are producing, inform lead hand and or operator of any concerns.
-Loading materials into production machines, removing, packing and sorting raw materials or finished products using manual or power equipment.
-Maintains inventory storage areas, shop facilities, and all active work areas in a neat and orderly fashion according to company and 5S procedures and protocols.
-Helps in repairs and adjustments on equipment as required.
-Provides accurate inventory counts.
-Informs customer service team member regarding status of production schedules and orders.

Education and Experience:

-Grade 12 diploma or equivalent mature student diploma with good skills in reading and math.
-several months to one year of experience in manufacturing environments is essential.
-Mechanically inclined to foreseen potential problems with equipment (an asset).
-Health & Safety training in: WHMIS, Safe Work Operation, First Aid, are assets.

Abilities and Skills:

-Ability to safely operate power equipment.
-Team player, willing to take direction and suggest efficiencies.
-Physically fit and able to lift heavy objects and stand for long periods of time.
-Attention to detail and high-quality standards.
-Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
-Keeps equipment clean and serviced to prevent premature wear and breakdowns.
-Knowledge and proper use of PPE.
