The suitable candidate will be able to perform the following duties:
Assess all referrals for inpatient treatment and triage the referrals based on the clients treatment appropriateness and readiness
Communicate with referral agents and clients, conduct a pre-screening of all referrals, establish a waitlist, complete initial intakes, provide referrals as necessary, provide a thorough assessment of clients
Develop and evaluate an efficient triaging and intake system utilizing a trauma informed approach in partnership with clients and referral agents;
Develop intake packages for referral agents and clients
Being a member of a multi-disciplinary team, to work from a holistic perspective utilizing traditional practices to improve the mental health and addictions issues and overall wellbeing of Band Members
and residents of Saskatchewan
Qualifications
Minimum Bachelors Degree in Social Work or another health related field as deemed appropriate by the WWC Director
Masters Degree in Social Work or Masters in Counseling or Psychology preferred;
2 years of experience in providing Intake and Assessment
Training/knowledge of Trauma Informed Care Approaches
Ability to work within multidisciplinary team;
Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
Exceptional Organizational and Time Management Skills
Knowledge of the SASSI, MAST and DAST Screenings
Ability to travel to outlying LLRIB communities;
Must possess a valid class 5 drivers license;
Security Clearance: Current Criminal Record, Vulnerable Sector Check and Drivers Abstract required upon hire
