Responsibilities:
-Provide direction and oversight of nursing staff and activities
-Maintain nursing schedule and ensure adequate staffing
-Perform client assessment, planning, implementation of care, and on-going evaluation of patient(s)
-Administrate the medical surveillance program (annual testing/annual medicals)
-Liaise with the company doctor
-Facilitate health and wellness information sessions
-Manage preventative health programs including immunizations
-Revise and create procedures and instructions within the Integrated Management System
-Compile and submit injury statistics reports
-Perform health inspections
-Participate in emergency training exercises with the Emergency Response Team
-Provide sample collection for substance testing
-Liaise with provincial health authorities
Skills and Qualifications:
-Registered Nurse, licensed to practice in Saskatchewan, preferably with occupational health and/or northern nursing experience
-Supervisory experience and skills
The following training will be provided by Orano as required:
o Spirometry and Audiometry
o Basic Life Support (BLS)
o International Trauma Life Support (ITLS)
-Proficient in Microsoft Office programs
-Required to have a sound knowledge of the companys operations and legislative requirements
-A team player who takes initiative and is able to develop positive working relationships and work closely and effectively with all team members
-Respect for and understanding of multicultural values
-Ability to maintain confidentiality
-Required to work independently with minimum supervision
-Preference will be given to qualified Residents of Saskatchewans North (RSN)
Work Location & Schedule:
-McClean Lake
-14 day in/ 14 day out rotating schedule
-Normally an 11 hour work day, although some activity outside of normal working hours may be required
-On-call support is required
