Summary

The food service supervisor position requires the supervision of the service team on shift to ensure the standards of all operations are maintained as outlined by the store manager. The role is operational in nature and has a strong emphasis on customer service and a positive attitude. The role of the supervisor is to ensure our food is offered to our customers in an exceptional and positive manner at all times.

Duties and Responsibilities

- Works alongside other staff members and ensures optimal product satisfaction
- Complies with and enforces all operating standards
- Ensures health and safety policies are followed during shift
- Updates and keeps all staff members informed on duties for each shift
- Supervises team members in a positive way to ensure all standards and procedures are upheld
- Ensures optimal team member coverage at all times and works various positions during rush hours to maintain operational efficiency and integrity
- Escalates to manage any issues and/or problems ( customer and employee-related)
- Ensures all staff members are following restaurant policies ( meal and break policies, cell phones, food safety, cash policies)
- Informs the manager of all injuries/illness, accidents, unsafe conditions, security incidents and any concerns that may arise

Qualifications

- At least one year of supervisory or management experience in the hospitality industry
- Strong leadership and positive attitude
- Success with communication and strong customer service
- Knowledge of food safety
- Ability to work independently as well as a team player
- Experience with long shifts
