The Systems Architect manages and oversees the strategic and operational demands of the Bank by leading the support, research, design, development, implementation and long-term governance of Cloud and Infrastructure solutions. This position is responsible for gathering requirements and functional specifications and assessing the current software systems in place to identify areas of improvement within a cloud (Azure) or on-premises infrastructure in relation to Identity and Access Management.
Key Outcomes and Responsibilities:
- Demonstrates understanding of business and technology processes
- Performs work successfully with little supervisory oversight; candidate must be an independent leader and engage with stakeholders effectively
- Conducts workshops to collect functional and non-functional requirements
- Architects, designs, and develops IAM solutions according to business requirements
- Understands the products and implementations at the technical and functional level appropriate for the situation
- Creates system architecture documents describing the current state, intermediary phases as well as the end state of the solution
- Manages project scope, schedule, status, and documentation
- Builds and maintains positive working relationships with vendors, management, and technical teams
- Performs proofs of concept / prototypes, and recommends on future roadmaps
- Works with internal stakeholders to provide architectural recommendations and guidance and conducts departmental presentations
- Leads and facilitates the design of technology projects and applications
- Acts as the prime subject matter expert for internal/external stakeholders
Qualifications:
- Proven expertise in Microsoft infrastructure solutions
- Proven success in self-service reporting and analytics projects
- Post-secondary degree or diploma in Computer Science
