Description

The Saskatchewan Research Councils (SRC) is seeking an entry level Industrial Shop Assistant to join the Development Engineering and Manufacturing team. High school graduates with a mechanical aptitude and an interest in working in a laboratory and industrial shop environment are encouraged to apply.  

Accountabilities
    Provide general assistance to the team with fabrication, paint, assembly, and installation of a variety of equipment
    Assist with the repair and preventative maintenance services of plant equipment
    Stock and monitor inventory of parts, personal protective equipment, and safety supplies in the shop
    Organize and clean the lab and shop

Skills
    Mechanical aptitude
    Positive attitude with a willingness to learn new skills and help where needed
    A team player with effective communication, multitasking and organizational skills
    Ability to work in an ever-changing environment with high attention to detail
    All necessary training will be provided

Requirements
    Valid Class 5 Drivers licence
    Some heavy lifting (up to 50lbs) will be required

The chosen candidate will be required to provide an original Criminal Record Check that is satisfactory to SRC prior to the commencement of any employment duties. The Criminal Record Check must have been executed within the preceding 30 days of receipt.
