In early 2020, SGI became one of the first signatories of the Saskatchewan Chamber of Commerces Indigenous Engagement Charter, outlining our commitment to the Truth and Reconciliation Commission (TRC) Calls-to-Action.  As SGI advances its commitments to Indigenous communities and peoples, this newly created position will provide strategic leadership to the whole organization, playing a pivotal role with the Board, Executive Leadership Team, and various divisions across the organization- especially those with direct and indirect interactions with Indigenous communities.

Heres what were looking for:
Candidates must bring the education and experience to succeed in this unique opportunity.  We are looking for candidates who have a four-year degree in a relevant field of study such as Indigenous Studies, Business, Communications or Community Development.  Candidates should have at least ten years experience comprised of six years leadership experience with increasing responsibility, and four years of experience in the development and execution of Indigenous relationship building and outcomes.  Strong understanding of First Nations and Metis issues with the ability to provide cultural interpretation and direction to protocols, traditions, values, beliefs, and cultural and legal distinctions.
