Description

At SGI, we are focused on an exciting future involving growth, change and transformation. We are seeking a dynamic, energetic, and passionate Indigenous Relations Consultant to join our Corporate Auto Fund team in Regina OR Saskatoon; other locations in Saskatchewan may be considered.
In early 2020, SGI became one of the first signatories of the Saskatchewan Chamber of Commerces Indigenous Engagement Charter, outlining our commitment to the Truth and Reconciliation Commission (TRC) Calls to Action. As SGI advances its commitments to Indigenous communities and peoples, a new Consultant position has been created to support the development and implementation of the Indigenous partnership strategy for all Auto Fund functions (excluding Claims) to enhance and contribute to customer and partner experience, traffic safety promotion, and efficient operations. The position will play a critical role supporting Human Resources in the development and implementation of Indigenous projects and initiatives as it relates to building SGIs workforce and advancing diversity, equity, and inclusion at SGI.
Reporting to the Director, Indigenous Relations you will have an active role in SGIs response to the Truth and Reconciliation Commission report, contribute to the strategic alignment of the Indigenous Engagement Charter, and supports the Crown Indigenous Engagement Committee priorities.

Heres what were looking for:
Candidates must bring the education and experience to succeed in this unique opportunity.  We are looking for candidates who have a four-year degree in a relevant field of study such as Indigenous Studies, Business, Communications or Community Development.  Candidates should have at least five years experience in Indigenous community engagement, stakeholder relations and/or program delivery.
