The primary role is to provide students with nutritional meals for the student population. The secondary role will be to assist in land-based and cultural activities as directed by the Principal.
Specific Skills
Prepare menus
Prepare foods for cooking and serving
Cook foods
Deliver and serve food to classrooms
Clean and sanitize food preparation areas, facilities, and equipment
Maintain inventory of equipment and supplies
Self-motivated and self-directed
Works well as part of a team and on individual tasks
Excellent interpersonal skills to effectively and collaboratively work as part of a team
Ability to interact positively with students, staff, and parents.
Written communication skills through documentation and record keeping, as well as clear and professional verbal interactions
Knowledge of Dakota culture
Qualifications
Grade 12 or equivalent
Valid Drivers License
Safe Food Handling
Experience an asset, training will be provided
