Description

Essential:
10 years of Maintenance experience.
5 years in a supervisory role.
Journeyman certificate in one trade skill.
Firemans certificate will be required for compliance.
Able to train the team in electrical, plumbing, HVAC, painting and carpentry.
Experience with power equipment and maintenance tools.
Able to work at heights and in confined spaces.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Ability to push, pull, bend, stoop, and reach upward.

Preferred:
Valid drivers licence.
Electrical Journeypersons licence highly preferred.
Industrial Mechanic (Millwright) Journeyperson.
Power engineering certification.

Duties:
Works on projects for maintenance and improvement of the hotel.
Ensures routine preventive maintenance on laundry equipment, heating and air conditioning units, ice machines, fire extinguishers, fire smoke alarms, lawn sprinklers, lawn equipment, and plumbing are performed as required in accordance with the warranty specifications.
Performs minor roof repairs, painting and exterior projects.
Is familiar with frequently used Standard Operation Procedures and System Standards.
Reads and understands blueprints and schematics.
Responds to emergency situations on short notice.
Maintains and manages the work order system for the hotel.
Trains Maintenance personnel to perform their duties with excellence.
Maintain productivity to minimize reliance on outside contractors.
Other duties as assigned.
