Lac La Ronge Indian Band Health Services Department is now inviting applications for 1 (one) Permanent Full Time, Dental Aides to work in the community of Grandmother's Bay, SK. The successful candidates will be required to assist the Dental Therapist in the provision of dental services and dental health education to children enrolled in the Lac La Ronge Indian Bands Dental Therapy Program.
Duties:
Prepare patient and assist Dental Therapists during dental procedures;
Provide fluoride treatments to school aged children, including home visits;
Patient instructions: oral hygiene (brush, floss);
Book and confirm appointments when required;
Maintain accurate Client Dental Record forms;
Infection Control/Sterilization;
Maintain positive public relations with clients visited;
General office duties as required;
Work as part of the health care team;
Other related duties as assigned by the Dental Therapist.
Qualifications:
Minimum Grade 12 (Combination of Education and relevant experience may be considered) and willing to receive training;
Strong organizational skills & able to multi-task;
Ability to work independently as well as a member of a team;
Basic computer skills and experience with Microsoft Office;
Excellent verbal, written communication and public relations skills;
Must have a valid Class 5 Drivers license and able to travel;
Experience working with First Nations communities is an asset;
Criminal Record Check, Vulnerable Sector Check and Drivers Abstract required upon hire.
