Description

Reporting to the Superintendent, Project Engineering , the Mechanical Engineering Supervisor is responsible for leadership of the mechanical engineering discipline within the Projects and Technology group. Additional responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

This position supports front end loading studies and detailed design execution

The position supports resolution of technical issues, complete detailed design of capital projects, and coordination of technical interfaces between internal and external bodies (e.g. TSASK, etc.)

The Mechanical Engineering Supervisor will be responsible for driving forward sound and standardized design, constructability, safety by design, and maintenance practices for KSPC mechanical and piping assets

Review and/or develop mechanical/piping engineering, drawings and documents in line with requirements relating to feasibility, standards, codes, and KSPC quality specifications

In conjunction with peers, maintain, update, and define KSPC design specifications and core documents for mechanical engineering

Provide overall mechanical engineering discipline leadership with respect to specification development, plant standardization, correction of systemic technical issues, and key decision making
