Lakefield LLP is a Saskatchewan team with a modern take on law.
We currently have an opening for an experienced Litigation Legal Assistant. You will be assisting lawyers and clients as they work through legal proceedings, including providing assistance with document preparation and administrative functions.
Your required skills, knowledge and ability should include:
- Diploma or Certificate from a recognized Legal Assistant Program;
- 1 to 5+ years experience as a Litigation Assistant including, but not limited to the areas of, civil, debtor/creditor, family and criminal law;
- Ability to process large volumes of documents, and finalize legal pleadings;
- Advanced PC skills, particularly with Microsoft Office and Outlook along with other law firm specific software. Experience with Divorcemate and Discovery Local is an asset.
- Strong dicta transcription skills;
- Excellent proofreading skills;
- The ability to work independently, follow instructions with minimal supervision and take initiative;
- A willingness to learn and contribute to our team.
- Positive attitude and great verbal and written communication skills.
