We are hiring a Part time (24-30 hours / week) Pharmacy Assistant to join our Pharmacy team based out of our food centre in Melville, Saskatchewan.
Reporting to the Pharmacy Manager (or designated Pharmacist) and working closely with other Pharmacy Team Members, the Pharmacy Assistant will be responsible for the following:
Provide exceptional customer service to clients both in person and over the phone. Respond to customer inquiries in an efficient and friendly manner. Refer all clinical inquiries to the designated pharmacist
Perform inventory management functions such as ordering pharmacy inventory, maintaining appropriate stock levels, and identifying expired products for disposal, destruction, or return to manufacturer. Report all discrepancies to the designated Pharmacist, including unauthorized removal of merchandise. Ensure organization and cleanliness of workstations, inventory shelves, and storage areas.
Enter and manage patient profiles, maintaining current and accurate details. Process and submit insurance claims, and other pharmacy services to the insurer and resolve payment or coverage issues with payers, including insurance companies, patient support programs, and patients.
Maintain and control the cash register, accurately and efficiently completing all transactions in a courteous, prompt, and precise manner in accordance with cash handling policies and procedures.
Perform the technical aspects of medication dispensing, including receiving the prescription from the patient, and processing and filling the prescription efficiently and accurately.

You have completed the Grade 12 education.
You have 1 - 3 years of customer service experience. Pharmacy related customer service experience is an asset.
