Reporting to the Chief Engineer in the maintenance department, your knowledge of industrial automation and process control systems will support operations in a mining/milling environment. You will lead the team that ensures long term health, uptime, reliability, and cyber security for the industrial process control system. To accomplish this, you will: oversee the operations industrial process control system optimization and design, ensure that the industrial process controls group is meeting the requirements of the operation and department, supervise, mentor and coach a team of Automation and Controls Specialists, interface with the other corporate and site groups on industrial process control system matters, oversee the security and access control of the industrial process control system, and ensure the industrial process control system is in compliance with corporate and regulatory standards. You will also act as the site contact, and SME for larger design/installation projects related to the industrial process control system.
Requirements of the position:
- Bachelors degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, process/chemical engineering or related discipline
- Five to eight years of experience with industrial process control systems
- You must be eligible for registration with the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Saskatchewan (APEGS)
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Work a rotational schedule and commute to site by aircraft
Assets:
- Exposure to maintenance systems, techniques, and technologies
- Experience in a mining/milling environment
- Experience with DeltaV, Modicon PLCs, or similar technologies and platforms
- Experience with computerized maintenance management system, preference for SAP experience
- Project Management Professional (PMP Certification)
Preference will be given to Residents of Saskatchewans North (RSN).
