The suitable candidate will be able to perform the following duties:
Collaborate in the development and delivery of Inclusion and Intervention Plans (IIPs)
Deliver alternative education programming to learning support students at the high school level
Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners and monitor student progress
Collaborate with students and families on short and long-term goals related to academics and social-emotional learning
Work 1:1 or with small groups of struggling students on academic needs
Communicate with parents and guardians regularly regarding student progress
Based on student enrollment in the alt. ed program, teach electives at the high school level
Complete other duties as assigned
The suitable candidates will possess the following qualifications:
Bachelor of Education Degree
Degree or Certificate in Special Education or related experience would be an asset
Experience collaborating effectively with school staff, parents, and outside agencies
Saskatchewan Professional A Teacher Certification or ability to obtain
Valid Class 5 Drivers License
Must be able to provide a satisfactory Drivers Abstract, Criminal Record Check/Vulnerable Sector Screening
