Job Description: This position is required to provide psychometric, behavioural and family assessments in the context of the family and community to children between the ages of 0 and 12 exhibiting a range of social, emotional and behavioural difficulties. The incumbent will complete psychological assessment reports and will provide individual, group and family interventions. Periodically, the Psychologist also assists with program planning and may participate in interagency committee work, community development, and/or clinical supervision of practicum students. The incumbent must be able to work effectively with the Manager and other members of the Children's Mental Health Services Team. The incumbent also will provide early childhood mental health consultation to early childhood educators.
Required Qualifications

Masters Degree in Psychology or Clinical Psychology or Educational Psychology
Registered or eligible for registration with the Saskatchewan College of Psychologists
Eligibility for and attainment of the Approved Practice Endorsement from the Saskatchewan College of Psychologists.
Supervised training in assessment (including cognitive assessment of children), differential diagnosis and intervention with children (ages 0-12) exhibiting mental health issues. Training will include a supervised practicum.
Experience
Experience working in a mental health clinic providing services to children between the ages of 0 to 12 years of age and their families/caregivers
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Organizational skills
Effective oral and written communication skills
Demonstrated strong written and verbal communication skills
Knowledge of evaluation.
