Education and Experience.
The position requires Grade 12, with preference given to candidates who have completed a post-secondary office administration program or have experience working in an office environment.
Office Duties
1. Provide general reception including answering phone calls.
2. Serve ratepayers and visitors to the Town Office
3. Collect payments and provide receipts.
4. Process Utility Account Changes & Updates
5. Enter Meter Readings, issue Utility Bills
6. Accounts Payable ? enter invoices
7. Payroll Prep & Entry in AP Program
8. Update Tax Program ? Change of Ownerships, Customer Information Updates
9. Development & Building Permits ? providing information, assisting customers and spreadsheet tracking
10. Bylaw Enforcement ? assisting BEO, sending letters, collections and tracking actions
11. Promote Local Tourism ? Maintain displays, information on local attractions and events, update Website BLCA Support Position to provide Treasurer/Secretary services
12. Pay bills, invoices as directed by BLCA
13. Track finances and prepare reports for BLCA Meetings
14. Apply for and manage Grants on behalf of BLCA ? Lotteries, CRAG, etc
15. Book Swimming lessons
16. Attend BLCA Meetings and prepare Agendas and Minutes
EMO
1. Develop and Maintain EMO Plan
2. Coordinate training for EMO Volunteers
3. SaskAlerts
