St. Gregor Credit Union is seeking a qualified Loans Officer to join our team in our St Gregor branch. We are seeking an individual with an upbeat and optimistic personality. Someone who is naturally approachable and friendly to the membership and fellow staff. One who is a responsible, motivated individual and a good team member who will contribute to the success of our Credit Union. Responsibilities will include duties typically associated with lending, such as interviewing members, data entry, and monitoring portfolios. The individual will have a desire to learn and have an in-depth understanding of lending practices and procedures. The ideal candidate will have many years of service in the credit union system, however; we are prepared to train the skills necessary to fulfill the position responsibilities. The successful candidate will be exposed to various types of lending, including retail, mortgage, agricultural & commercial.
Qualifications:
- Minimum Grade 12 diploma, with direct lending training and experience
- Bondable
- Willingness to engage in all types of lending
- Strong written and verbal communications skills are considered a must
- Strong business development and relationship management skills
- Consideration will be given to those individuals with loan security clerk abilities who seek to advance their career
- Credit Union experience considered an asset
Compensation:
The level of compensation provided will depend upon qualifications and experience. We offer a competitive comprehensive compensation package, which includes 7% matched defined contribution pension plan as administered by the Co-operative Superannuation Society.
