We are seeking an Environment Health & Safety Business Partner to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the development, ongoing support, training, monitoring, and reporting of EH&S programs and practices, while supporting our country facilities and team members.
You should apply for this role if you:
Have a minimum of five (5) years experience working in an Environment, Health and Safety (EH&S) related field.
Graduated with a post-secondary degree in a natural or applied science and have a registered professional designation.
Have the ability to understand and comply with internal EH&S systems and its processes.
Possess a solid understanding of adult education and implementation tactics for the purposes of training and policy & procedures induction.
Have excellent verbal and written communication, including presentation and training skills.
Have the proven ability to work cooperatively with others in a team environment.
Are computer competent, with demonstrated ability in the use of word processing, excel, database and presentation applications within a Windows based operating environment.
Have experience working within a unionized environment.
Have a solid understanding of Contractor Management applications in an Owner Applied scenario, such as with Prime Contractor settings.
Preference will be given to those who possess proven knowledge and understanding of governmental EH&S legislation including the Canadian Labor Code, Part II. An OHS certification, including an OHS diploma, CHSC, CRST, or CRSP is considered an asset.
Equivalent combinations of education and experience that result in the required level of knowledge skill and competence will be considered.
